Celia Lopera Merino
· Law Degree by Universidad de Valencia.
· Full academic year at Nottingham University (United Kingdom).
· LL.M. in International Commerce, Universidad de Valencia and Universidad País Vasco.
Celia is practicing lawyer and member of the Valencia Bar Association She joined Muñoz & Montañés in 2000. She has been active in advising clients, as well as in settlements and litigation throughout Spain. Celia has broad experience in the areas of corporate, maritime law and international trade and has lectured Transport Law to claim teams and professional associations.
Celia has been involved, amongst other matters, in assisting shipowners and P&Is in the sinking of two vessels off Finisterre, in a contact between a vessel and a port terminal with damages over one million euro and the claim by an agri-food multinational to its Spanish distributor in excess of 1,5 million euro.
In the corporate area Celia has experience as secretary of the board of directors, in set-ups and shareholders agreements.
Celia is member of the Spanish Maritime Law Association and Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).
